As one of our members you will enjoy the friendship of like-minded people wanting to discover more about photography. With a mix of photography enthusiasts from expert to novice, we learn from each other. Guest judges and others regularly give presentations to the club at our monthly meeting. Other features are the extended workshops (4 to 6 hours) with experts in their field giving up their day to help others and the club outings or field trips. As a member of the Warragul Camera Club your skills and understanding of photography will flourish.
Your syllabus gives details on monthly print and projected digital image (PDI) competitions. Your active participation in these competitions enriches your understanding of photography and also adds to the life of the club. You will be provided with a registration number. It is important to understand though that competing is not compulsory. The interest and education continues for some people without competing through hearing others speak about their photos and attending our presentations by competition judges and in-house or external experts.
Subject definitions are printed in the syllabus and in the monthly newsletter.
